Bangalore: Every year, millions of students pass out from colleges only to join the reserved army of unemployed as their skills are not on a par with the requirements of corporate India. The ‘shoppers’ stop’ for jobs is now open for rural and semi-urban youth in Bangalore. The Vocational Educational Academy (Vocad), an effort to reduce the gap between rural and urban India through education, launched its branch in Kengeri.
The academy’s main attraction is the wide variety of courses a rural student can chose from and placement with corporates afterwards.
“We introduce people in rural areas to India Inc. We provide courses that aim at making them ready first day first hour for jobs that corporates need. Thus we intend to create a Bharat Inc. By taking jobs to rural India, we intend reducing the influx of people into the city,” said A P Srivatsan, MD, Vocad.
ELIGIBILITY IS CLASS 12, PU
The academy intends to provide 27 courses in lifestyle, telecom, healthcare, travel, hospitality and consumer durables. Eligibility for the course is Class 12/ PU.
The courses are devised by industry experts. The courses have frequent interactive sessions to test knowledge of students on the current market scenario. Call 98866-52327 for more information.
